Customizing News Content

Edit News Title
News is displayed on the Pivotstream Homepage through a SharePoint Web Part. The Web Part controls where the News content is pulled from along with other properties. It is highly recommended that you do not alter any other property of the News Web Part other than the Title.

  1. Log onto the Pivotstream platform with the administrator credentials
  2. Go to the Site Actions menu in the upper left corner of the screen and select Edit Page from the list.



  3. Use the drop-down arrow to the right of the title to edit the News web-part


  4. Type the desired news title in the Title field of the Web-Part properties pane, then click OK. 


  5. Click Save & Close to save changes



  6. Title updated


Add News Content

  1. Click the All Site Content link in the Admin Quick Links bar
  2. Click News


  3. Click Add New Announcement


  4. Add details to your announcement page. Only the Title is required. You can add body text and a URL link if desired

Maintain News Content

You can edit or remove news items to suit your needs

  1. Click the All Site Content link in the Admin Quick Links bar


  2. Click News


  3. Select the news item to maintain


  4. Maintenance Options
    • Delete news item


    • Edit news item
